Frequently Asked Questions
Are your cavoodles DNA tested?
Yes they are. Our tests are carried out by Orivet.
What does DNA clear mean?
When DNA testing for diseases there are 3 possible results for the pair of chromosomes responsible for the disease:
1. Clear β this means the disease causing gene is not present β both chromosomes are βclearβ of the disease gene.
2. Carrier β this means the one chromosome is disease causing and one is not. This dog does not have the disease, will not exhibit disease symptoms or have medical problems as a result β but they βcarryβ the disease in their genetics.
3. Affected β this means both of the chromosomes are disease causing, the dog will be medically βaffectedβ by the disease and will pass on the disease causing gene to all of its offspring.
This is why DNA testing and selective breeding is so important β because without it you could choose 2 perfectly healthy dogs that are both carriers of the same disease and unknowingly actively breed puppies with genetic diseases.
Are you a registered breeder?
Yes we a registered dog breeder in NSW and our breeder number is B000681171
How long have you been breeding Cavoodles?
Since 2018
How much are your toy Cavoodle puppies?
Our puppies are generally $2800 - $3500. Sometimes a litter may be more expensive due to breeding costs. A $500 deposit is required to secure your puppy. A deposit is non refundable due to change of mind. This is because we donβt show or advertise that puppy and if we have to re-advertise at a later date we may have lost potential families who were interested at the same time. The balance is paid on puppy pick up at 8 weeks of age. If you choose a transport option for your puppy the balance must be paid and cleared at least 2 days prior to leaving our home.
What's the difference between aF1, F1b, F2, F2b and Multigen Cavoodles
Because cavoodles have grown in popularity over the last decade, there has become a number of different terms for how a cavoodle is bred and how its bloodlines are mixed.
These terms include a first-generation cavoodle (F1 cavoodle), F1B, second-generation cavoodle (F2 cavoodle) and multigenerational.
A F1 Cavoodle - is a first-generation cavoodle that is a cross between a pure poodle (usually toy or miniature or mix), and a pure Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
A F2 Cavoodle - is 50% Cavoodle and 50% Cavoodle of each parent, so the puppies ratio of each parent does not change. They are still low to non-shedding and can have deep curls, to waves to straight within the one litter. Their appearance can range from cavalier features, poodle features or somewhere in between.
A F2b cavoodle is when a F2 cavoodle is bred with a pure poodle or cavalier king charles spaniel.
F3/ Multigenerational Cavoodle - is a term that can be applied to any cavoodle generation beyond an F2 or F2b.
What are the different types of Cavoodle coats?
Cavoodles typically have 3 coat types - Fleece, Curly and Straight.
1. Fleece coats are sometimes referred to as wavy coats because although they can develop curls as they grow. They require regular brushing and clipping. Pups have a gentle wave all over the body except for the face which should be fluffy but straight - especially around the muzzle. You should be prepared to have your puppies coat professionally groomed every 8 weeks.
2. Curly coats are popular for people that suffer from allergies. The curly coat is close to the same the pure poodle wool coat. Most allergy sufferers do really well with curly coat cavoodles because of the minimal shedding. The curly coat will require regular brushing and clipping. You should be prepared to have your puppies coat professionally groomed every 8 weeks.
3. The straight coats are the easiest to maintain and don't require all the maintenance of the curly or fleece coats. Smooth or straight coats are inherited from the Cavalier King Charles. They often do shed so keep this in mind if you have allergies. You may only need professional grooming every 4 months.
Why choose one of our cavoodle pups? What is our special touch?
We aim to raise puppies that are well socialised and happy puppies that are confident and well trained. I think our kids being so interactive in their raising is a huge reason our puppies are so calm and affectionate. We get them ready for living in their new home -whether that be in the suburbs with a back yard or a city apartment, I think we breed adaptable and confident pups.

What is included with a cavoodle puppy?
We provide all our puppy families with a comprehensive folder of puppy and training information. All puppies come with their first vaccinations, worming (every 2 weeks) and their vet check. This is all documented and dated on their very own Puppy Passport. We love to include a blanket that has the scent of the litter and mother plus a couple of little treats for spoiling. They will have a fluffy toy that has been a litter toy so it has familiar smells for puppy to go home with. They will be wearing a collar. We include a full list of their dietary requirements and current toilet training tips to get you started.
Do you provide a health guarantee?
Our puppies are checked by our vet around 6 weeks of age for good health. They are vaccinated and microchipped at this time as well. The parents are carefully selected and DNA tested with Orivet. This ensures that our puppies will not be able to develop any of the diseases tested for by Orivet.
When you take your puppy home at 8 weeks we have done as much as we can to ensure you have a healthy pup. What we canβt control is diseases or other conditions that may arise down the track. We do encourage families to let us know if they encounter any health issues. If your vet discovers a serious problem in the following two vaccination consults scheduled we will work with you to find a solution.

What is the difference between choosing a Male or Female Cavoodle?
Each puppy has their own individual nature and personality and Lauren can help show you the most suitable puppy for your family. We find the male desexed cavoodle to be the most easy and loving sex. We find Boys mostly love everyone equally. While the girls are also affectionate and loving they are generally more independent. They can sometimes pick their favourite person. Our girls tend to be smart and lively!
Each puppyβs has an individual nature and Lauren can help show you the most suitable puppy for your family. Sometimes people come to us with a gender in mind but end up deciding on the opposite purely due to falling in love with their personality or little quirk!
Does a Toy Cavoodle require much maintenance?
We recommend your Cavoodle will require a regular 6-10 weeks grooming appointment with a professional groomer for their life. Costs can vary depending on your location vary but allow for $100. When you take your puppy home we suggest pre-booking for a groomer straight away.
Should we take our cavoodle puppy to puppy school or training?
Yes if you can, it is recommended. It is great for further socialisation, if you have children they can be guided and learn at the same time. Effective training will give you a system and the tools to build trust and control with your dog. Help your new puppy on its way to becoming a friendly and well-behaved family pet by starting training while your puppyβs brain is most receptive to learning (8β13 weeks old).
Lessons learned now will last them a lifetime - so they can sail through life as a happy, friendly and relaxed dog that can cope well with new experiences such as meeting new dogs in the park or having visitors at home.
Youβll also learn a lot too! They teach you effective techniques to prevent unwanted behaviour at home - including common concerns such as toileting accidents, biting, chewing, jumping up, barking and being destructive when left alone.
